EasyRotator KnowledgeBase – Error #1088
When using EasyRotator for WordPress (especially when attempting to upload a rotator), you may receive error #1088. This problem usually occurs when your server runs out of memory, a result of having your PHP memory limit set too low. To learn about how to increase the PHP memory limit, see this article. While the example limit in that article is 64M, you may need to use a larger value such as 128M depending on your server's configuration. Experiment to see what value allows for uploading rotators without receiving error #1088.
If you continue to have trouble
If increasing the memory limit doesn't solve the problem, please open a support ticket below and include the following important information so we can determine the source of the error:
- The URL of your WordPress dashboard
- Temporary credentials to login to the dashboard
- Details on what you have included in the rotator that fails to upload (number of photos, size of photo files, etc)
- The
debug_WPAPI.xml
log file (instructions for getting this file) - Important: Your server's PHP error log. (Contact your webhost if you're unsure of how to access this file. Please note that we need the PHP error log, not the HTTP access log.)
- (Optional) Temporary FTP credentials to access your site
- (Optional) Login credentials to access your hosting control panel where site configuration options (including PHP settings) are specified.
